Alan Bradshaw

Alan started dancing with Jayne Burnett, Kimberley Cooper and Kay Travis before furthering his training at the Guildford School of Acting.

Performance credits include: Dancer in WONKA (Warner Bros.); George in Perfectly Ordinary (original workshop); Swing/Children’s Dance Captain/Cover Mr Braithwaite in Billy Elliot (Victoria Palace Theatre); Custus in Crazy for You (Kilworth House Theatre); Lady be Good!; Pepe in The Boyfriend (Assistant Choreographer to Bill Deamer); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Assistant Choreographer to Jenny Arnold) and Messenger in Macbeth (all at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre); Follies (London Palladium – Assistant Choreographer to Bill Deamer); Purser in Anything Goes (UK Tour); Roger in Footloose (UK Tour); Wayne Sleep’s alternate in Beauty and the Beast (Theatre Royal Windsor) and Doc Pierce in Calamity Jane (UK Tour and Shaftesbury Theatre).

Alan was on the Senior Faculty and Course Coordinator for Foundation Musical Theatre at ArtsEd; Head of Acting & Artistic Consultant for CPA Studios’ Level 6 Trinity Diploma and Vice Principal/Head of Dance at The Musical Theatre Academy. Alan has also worked with Guildford School of Acting, Urdang, Trinity College of Music, London Studio Centre, London School of Musical Theatre, MADD College, the Sylvia Young Theatre School, Italia Conti and Can You Dance?.

Alan works as ‘the theatre coach’ (www.thetheatrecoach.com) training and mentoring young performers into the industry and through their careers, is the Founder of ‘The Parents of Young Performers’ group, is part of the #time4change Mental Health Charter, is the Director of the MT Associates – London, is the Programme Director for ttc:MANCHESTER, is on the panel for All England Dance, is a Patron of The Curious Theatre School, a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts and is a Co-Founder, Executive & Artistic Director of Ginger Dog Theatre.
